My sort of aeroplane, Marty... ...!

Lovely shots!

Which is why my daily sim flights are carried out in my trusty Cessna 150/152.... ....!

None of the fancy tube-liners, and military shoot-em-ups....or hi-tech whirly-birds..... :o ...!

...just a nice, gentle, normally aspirated, little piston-prop tourer.....

...wonderful!.... ....!

Paul.... ....!

It was about 46 , maybe 47 years ago. I flew to Auckland on a Viscount (i think) with my father . And then down to Whakatane to see his father in the Piper.
It was , from memory meant to be a Cessna 180 , but a mate of his who flew DC-3's for someone up there took us in the Pacer.
The Piper needed some maintenance done (again from faded memory) by some guy on a farm in the bay. The Dak guy took me with him for the airtest ... i had the "wheel" for at least an hour , right down to the flare at the end.
He was a natural teacher .
Somewhere in the family archives there is a "box brownie " black and white photo of the Pacer ... it was red and cream .... as long , or as short as i live , i will never forget that .

Will do Ian , just hope we still have them . Its funny , i was just talking to mumble (my mum ) about this ... and she recalls the first NZ aircraft she flew on was a Dominie (excuse spelling) and then a Heron ...Dak etc.
All this history in such a short space of time .

Nothing wrong with your spelling, Marty - a 'Dominie' is Scots for a schoolmaster.
