Wow, looking great. I can remember when people moaned about Prepar3d's cloud coverage, certainly those days are gone:)

Well, I have Active Sky 2016 and that does the job damn well, btw no cloud art obviously but yeah, these clouds are real dense now days.

Far from it, Rob. The dreaded "blobbies" are still in P3D. Regardless of what texture utility you use, there will always be the odd set of weather conditions that conjures up these nasties. Near clouds are fine - it's the mid to far distance clouds that sometimes suffer the most. PTA (P3D Tweak Assistant) has shader tweaks that "fuzz over" the far distance effects, but it's still there.

Add to that, the dreaded "black/oily" water(when looking down) that LM refuses to fix. Terrain and model lighting is superb in P3D, but clouds and water are way better in FSX, IMHO.

Adam.

Do you have a P3D install (or can you get to look at one) Ian? The revised wave animations (only available in "Ultra" mode) are quite something.

Yeah the KGV went in perfect in P3Dv3 .. I'm sure its going to need me to install into FSX so I can copy and paste the Effects for the bow wave and other interesting stuff ... then will give USS Enterprise and Tomcat and USS Kitty Hawk a looksie.
