That was my serious airport building years so I gave it a miss, the Privateer would have been an interesting one, one of those interesting looking types and for the non plane type people a serious rebuild of the B-24 specific for maritime duties ... gained its fame more for its aerial espionage flights, no wonder you went for that package Marty.

Yep .... an odd looking aircraft indeed, but all those little lumps and bumps sparked my interest.
Did "wings of power" mutate into A2A ?
For the time they produced superb P-47's , bubble and razor backs.
In fact (i think) no body else has done one since.

:D Go back to A2A .. for the Razor , the bubble .. guess same could be said for the the Real-Air Mk14 without the bubble .

That is one thing I did try with a few high end faves , simply just out of date, I did the same with scenery, It would have been handy not to combine BGL flattens with early outta date files , design was in its infancy I guess so be the same for aircraft , great thing is it has all moved into a new world and P3D thanks to you and Greg ... WELLLLLLLLL we are yet to see :)

I agree "just out of date " ... a lot like me I think.
But, it was, what it was in the day.

just out of date
is not the same as "over the hill" :D
WOP did morph into A2A, they annoyed me mightily by "doing things" unasked, to my sim.
Most noticeably, changing my carefully customized splash screen!

When you look at it , example was Alphasim, one could follow up on model builds and put in input plus .. "doing things" unasked , that is is another primary area were the people in the background really devote there time ! without a quiver and produce results better than the original design group even thought off, the true meaning of the word 'Legacy' .. the ones who go out and do it ! without question.

Ian , Alphasim kept me on edge for years ... a release almost every two weeks, and for the time, it was great stuff. (still is now)
I think I started following Phill right from the start ... and still, have it all.... history, love it.

It is amazing to follow up on the history and the eye spy stuff they did get up to .. and survived a lot longer than the poor ole P-47 , least in the US forces :(
