A couple of classic CS fails :-(

I wasn't too optimistic - trying out some of my old CaptainSim fleet in P3Dv4.

Not everyone's favourite, but I love the sleek lines of the B757:

The all-time CLASSIC C-130 ... looks great on the outside ..

... but, sadly, this is all I could get in the VC :(

From my limited understanding it is the old compiled gauges that are the issue. Anything in XML seems fine.

Yep - that's what I presumed as well. In other words, not fixable by daft old farts like me :(

I'd say the C-130 is ripe for a make-over - either from CS (whose succes I think was initially largely due to the C-130) or A2A. It's such a good looking aircraft - and so versatile.

Thanks, Marty - useful as that recovery tool is, it is just that. Those [old] gauges just won't work in an x64 environment. I really do feel that CS should let PMDG, Aerosoft and iFly take over the jetliner market and re-launch the C-130. I'm sure it'd be a best-seller.

Well Milviz will be coming out with their J series at some point so that might supersede the CS model. Although I do like the old analogue nature of the early H series etc.
