Sim ... game ... whatever.
This is my first shot from the Il2 "cliffs of Dover" offering.(thanks, Ian)
It's a bit dated, even with the team fusion updates ... but will be a source of some good screens I think.

Interesting how some screenshots look like photos of a model...
On my screen I see a highly-detailed 1:144 Heinkel!
Never managed to pin it down, somehow.

You are so right .... all that's missing is the stand.
All the aircraft in this sim look like that ... panels are great , the external view looks ...well ... but there's just something.

I have a feeling it's the lack of bump-mapping. The textures appear to have loads of "burned in" detail, but it's as if they were all a decal - all totally "flat". In most of the later sims, all the rivets and panel joins appear to stand out in 3D. DCS certainly gets that bit right - as does War Thunder (I think!!) ... but not all aircraft in FSX or P3D do it that well. Some do, some don't!

Adam.
