Galatea (NZGA) - Rotorua (NZRO)

A short hop for repositioning at sunset. Flying VFR in much clouds is not easy. You need time to avoid them. It was the plan to land at the sea, but it was to late. Not enough sight and to dangerous. So it was a good idea, to land at the runway from Rotorua...

Meanwhile i have found the site of the operator of this aircraft and yes, it is underway and you can fly with them!

Yes, you can fly off the lake, although the last time I was there it was too rough. However I did manage a flight by Volcanic Air from the airport when I was taking photos for the scenery -- the pilot was great, just hanging over the places I wanted to photograph, so I could shoot straight down.

Real NZ Rotorua includes the base on the lake, so have a go at parking it there:)
