The Stinson one looks like a pretty cool personal transporter from 'Star Wars' :plane:
There is quite an active thread on SOH about this update - seems to be the normal run of events, lately.

All FS9 aircraft with animations are affected like this. Compatibility is broken.

This result is the positive outcome, by the way. Some other FS9 models will instantly crash the sim if you look in their direction or come close to them.

Therefore the only chance for the old models is the conversion to FSX or P3D models.

This is now possible to a large extend (Helis being the exception to the rule). But it is no way a point and click exercise, so the few people able to do it have a monstrous workload.

But.... The technology is there to bring the FS9 AI heritage to the new world.

From mobile hence short

Marty - all my Carenado aircraft appear to be fine in 4.2.

Have you tried deleting your shaders cache?

Whatever you do, don't delete anything in P3D root ... the *cache* is here:
C:\Users\[you]\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4

https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/4796 ... -v2-v3-v4/

It's safe to delete either the shaders folder or all the [cache] files in it.

It may not cure your problem, but it's harmless - and worth a try. The first time your un P3D after clearing the cache, it'll take a while to load the next aircraft+scenery ... that's normal.

Adam.

It forces P3D to rebuild a new .cfg file from a copy of the default. You need then to re-add your preferences from within P3D itself. There's precious little reason to edit the file manually (not like in FSX)!
