Very slowly working my way up the upgrade path without spending any money!

Is there a way of panning the camera viewpoint around? I can't get it to move from its position - fixed in the lower half of the screen.

 Looking good Adam.
Try holding down the delete key and move your mouse around ...... what I want to know is how to zoom in a bit more when in this mode.

Adam, if you get into a battle situation, it will be recorded. You can go to replay, and that will give you some really good options for screens.

Tried that, thanks Marty - it just swivels and rotates - but can't move the aircraft itself up or down, left or right.

I mapped a throttle rotary to zoom, but it doesn't appear to be recognised in all views. Grrr!

The story so far ...

Image

This was taken using nVidia's Ansel. It appears only to work in the hangar screens, ie. totally useless for taking general screenshots.

I spent hours Googling a solution to my panning problem, but found no help. Ideed - almost zilch posts about *panning* (as opposed to rotating). It appears most people don't know the difference.

I worked out that I can pan the camera in all 6 axes by holding down the enabler (keyboard comma) ... but only in the internal/VC views. I just can't seem to move the aircraft position in external views. Sure - I can rotate it, zoom in and out OK, but it stays "stuck" in the lower 1/3 of the screen no matter what I do.

Help!

Adam.

Ada, do you use the f3 key for an external view? ....I know what you are saying about the bottom of the screen view, but I only get it if I tap f5 (sometimes)
Like you I have tried everything to pan up , nothing works. I cant see the point in having that stupid point of view if that all you can see.
Are you able to zoom in yet using the f3 view?
