Thanks Rob. It wasn't meant to turn out like that ...for some reason when I pasted the aircrew over the screenshot, they became kind of see-through and I was going to dump it.
So I worked it a little, and there it was ...not perfect. Like you, it gave me an odd feeling seeing them there.

An excellent tribute to the WWII heroes. The edit & composition you made is very fine and looks as a partly incoloured postcard that was posted from a crewmember out of an UK-airfield, very well done.

Im working on a better version of the screen. I want to make the crew look a little more faded ...ghosts if you like.
The reason being , I was thinking about my Dad the other day ...gone for almost 5 years now ...and hes fading ...slowly, but he is fading from memory....and Im not sure how I feel about that.
I know what he would think "just get over yourself, and move on for Gods sake" much like the guys in that screen ...every year, they fade a little more. We try to hang on to the past, but it is what it is ...past... but never really forgotten.

Anyway....sorry to go on.

Great pic - and a great idea. I'm not sure whether we're seeing the original pic or your "tweaked" one, but the one above is perfect. I "got" the ghostly thing immediately - even without reading any of the message(s) ... so I think you pitched it pretty well.

Without getting into any arguments about bombing in general, I think it takes a very different and very special kind of courage to go up day after day, night after night, knowing what the odds were.

I'm impressed you made it to Lancaster rank in WT. I'm still struggling with my poor old Wellington. Not helped, of course, by the fact that not one of the imbeciles that play it consider for one moment that escorting bombers might be an option. Every session I see where they are, that side invariably wins.

P.S. As to your dad ... you might find that things fade initially, but then it swings around. Mine died a fair while back, but his memory gets more vivid by the day. Heartbreaking, really, as I can't just ring him up and tell him how great he was (and mum). They both had a terrible war, but I'm amazed (in retrospect) how incredibly un-bitter they were.
