Posted: Wed Aug 15, 2018 4:06 amYes, the proportion are very wrong and I am not happy with it. A Ju 52 is not "that glider" that the pictures suggested.

But, after the 6. German Army was encircled, the chance to fly in 200 t of supplies day by day was more than the Luftwaffe could do.The best times 50... 60 Tons. and the losses on aircraft are high. From the Junkers Ju 52/3m alone as seen here 269 aircraft lost, Heinkel He 111 169 lost, Junkers Ju 86 42 lost, Focke Wulf Fw 200 9, Heinkel He 177 5, Junkers Ju 290 1, that makes total 495 aircraft. But this was not the only loss. Many of the aircrews flown these aircraft are teachers from all Schools for navigation, blind flying, multi engine flying... a corps of veterans often have learn to fly in peacetime with much Experience and irreplaceable
