Mail Run down the Coast

A weird flight today, I've been wanting to do this for a while, but only just got around to installing David Molyneaux' Fox Moth. There's a great New Zealand Geographic article about ZK-ADI here.
Starting at Hokitika, I planned a mail run down the Coast, stopping off on the way to deliver some packages, probably ending up at Martin's Bay. However as I am using Prepar3d v3, which I haven't used for a long time, I had a few false starts due to forgetting how to set up and use EZCA, and a few mismatches between Real NZ/Godzone and FTX NZSI elevations. I think I have the most annoying bits fixed, but I've run out of time (daylight?) so I might have to finish it another day. This was meant to be a mix of Godzone/FTX scenery.

This is as far as I got today, La Fontaine Airstrip, near Hari Hari, NZ's first 'international' airport:)

The second leg...
A very short hop over to Okarito. One goal of this flight is to check what needs to be done for a Subscription update, especially with FTX, as I did recall some issues with elevations. Okariko is probably the trickiest area, as the FTX mesh doesn't fit the lagoon or coastal photoscenery, and this will need to be fixed. Plus the FTX road traffic is way too heavy, with more traffic in a minute than probably goes through there per month in reality....
The airstrip is diabolical, coming in over the lagoon gives a poor idea of height, I always come in 'hot', so the warning sign could just about be a photo of my landing!

Very nice...Orbx recommend traffic set at 30% if I recall correctly

I was probably a bit glib about the traffic -- the real issue is that some of the vehicles go down to the beach and do a u-ey, which is easily fixed with a traffic exclude. It was just that I had trouble stopping at the end of the runway, neck-minit, a damn truck is in front of me...
I did check my traffic settings, and I have been using 25%. However I did see that I'd turned off the ground texture detail, which explains why my P3Dv3 shots are a bit blurry on the ground. So my next shots should show some grass detail!

Those pics are outstanding. Time to ditch FTX and go back to the subscription photo real.

Oh man, great stuff.
Did the same route myself a few years back in FS9, must repeat in P3D
