Hello,

Just two simple shots using the Iris Vulcan along with REX 4 Texture direct over Invercargill.

Due to the board in my previous rig which was an old Dell Optiplex 390 system going pop the other day, I'm still testing out the new system which spec's I've listed below, hopefully I'll get some P3d shots up soon once I've got the system running absolutely perfectly.

Old Specs; Dell Optiplex 390, I3-2100 processor, 8GB Ram, GT640 graphics card, averaged 20fps in p3d/fsx
New Specs: Dell Optiplex 3010, I5-3470 processor, 8GB Ram, GTX 1050ti 4GB Cerberus card, averaging 40fps so far.

Thanks for looking!

John

Hi Aharon,

I'm actually running 4 hard drives, 1x Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB as my primary drive, 1x Seagate Barracuda 1TB as a backup drive, 1x WD Blue 3TB drive for gaming and 1x Seagate barracuda 2TB for FSX/P3d all at 7200rpm.

The actual Optiplex 3010 only cost £100, and the parts from my old system in total came to just over £250, baring in mind I bought a few of the parts a few years ago and the original optiplex system I had cost me £154.

Good to know that P3D can run on 7,200 rpm hard drive with 8 GB ram averaging 40 fps!!! Maybe I will try that on my laptop.

Amazing

Hello Again,

Just to clarify the shots above are from FSX: Steam Edition, I've just re-installed P3D a few moments ago, and with the Iris Vulcan over the UK2000 Manchester scenery and the same cloud setup as above the average was around 35fps, the lowest it dipped to was 25fps and the highest it hit was 58fps.

Then, it is STILL good to know that P3D can run on 7,200 rpm hard drive with 8 GB ram averaging between 25 fsp and 58 fps!!! Maybe I will try that on my laptop.

Amazing
