RAF Gibraltar (LXGB) - RAF Waddington (EGXW) Avro Vulcan B. Mk. 2

Let us the go back to 1982, Falkland War. After the war the Avro Vulcans that bomb from Acension Island Port Stanley came home. The last leg was may be from RAF Gibraltar to RAF Waddington. Gibraltar, was and is mixed civil and military and has in these days not lost its strategical importance as Entrance of the Mediteranian Sea.
Waddington was one of the Stations with Bombers of the V-Series. Here was the last home of the Avro Vulcans before the retirment of this type in 1984.

Waddington. It was a nice landing after all. The Parachute can significant reduce the the place needed to stop the aircraft.

Look at the Gate Guard Vulcan....

Very interesting. Word of caution, pull the speed brakes in for take off, the aircraft climbs like a homesick angel with no bomb load. Is XH558 in the scenery like that? How odd, in reality, XM607 is parked there and 558 was the flying one until recently.

Yes. I was wrong. Often enough you use a little bit flaps on takeoff, but this is a clean delta and the command for flaps extended this speed brake. Solved with the next flight....
But in the video about the last flights with the 617th Squadron "The Dambusters" You can see, it is not complete wrong...
