Gracias. Hope we will soon be able to have the scenario of "Operation Bodenplatte"... 1. January 1945, the last big fight of the German Luftwaffe and the Messerschmitt Me 262

I see where the FW 190 "Butcher bird" will be back flying again at this years Easter weekend Classic fighters Airshow Omaka.
Sadly it was damaged when one of the wheel brakes failed on landing causing it to ground loop while practicing for the 2015 airshow but now it has been repaired and ready to fly again.

Odd that , that bird has a very clear national insignia on the tail ... and yet we cant show it in f/s without making excuses.

It would be hard to take it out without editing the photo but that is how the photo appeared in the NZ newspapers back in 2015.

Big D, I wasn't been smart or anything.... and why should you pixel out that insignia...its part of history.
I'm sure people watching that bird fly won't give a hoot about what's on the tail ....and if they do, well ...get over it ....its history....or visit another airshow.

Marty, I think you are right- a replica should be just that. But Andreas lives in the part of Europe where those symbols cannot be displayed, because the memories are still too fresh. I understand that, but I can see a very clear difference between recording history as it was, and having some young halfwit wannabe Nazi waving a Nazi flag, purely to cause offence. Brussels does not seem able, or willing, to deal with that

Question about swastika.

In Germany it is forbidden by law to show the swastika publicly. I have a german version of "the 1C "Battle-series´" installed.

Here are the rules:
