Christchurch post-earthquake CBD
Posted: Sun May 05, 2019 2:37 pmAdding some detail to the CBD is quite an emotional experience, as it really shows what the city has lost -- there wasn't really much that remained in the CBD, really. Here's a list of Christchurch's pre-EQ highest buildings on Wikipedia, the orange ones have been demolished, 13 out of 50 remain ....

It's been tricky to decide what to model in 'Real NZ Christchurch', but in the end I decided just to represent the existing CBD, whatever that means, although the Cathedral is pre-EQ. After the earthquake, 'they' said it would take 15 years to rebuild the CBD, so I might do an update when the 15 years has passed, in 2025...
