Fsx(steam) this time , and the VRS Hornet.
The lighting in FSX is just awful, but it still has a certain charm I guess.

Welcome back to the world of FSX!!!

And GREAT SHOT!!! I begin to think you have editing secrets for screenshots :P :)

Did you get Vistaliners 734s working in FSX Stream? If not, did you alias the panel to FSX default 738 panel?

I loaded up steam for the first time in ages the other day, mainly because I wanted to get ORBXs PNG scenery.... it looked bloody awful... I uninstalled and got P3DV4.

Haha - I remember posting a screenie of the CBFS Dove, and Ian said 2D cockpits were so 20th century, so I replied "Aren't we all?"

I disagree Smiling Even FS9 (FS2004) is doing well. Smiling FSX will do well for years coming unless Microsoft tells us that their new product can handle any FSX scenery and FSX planes.

I found there was a huge difference between the same scenery and aircraft on FSX Steam and P3DV4. Steam always looked choppy and with lots of jagged edges... V4 is pretty and smooth... although not as pretty as XP11 just down to the fact that it's still in essence an old sim. Nothing wrong with running older sims, when I'm set up properly somewhere again, I'll be busting out Grand Prix Legends from 1998! But you can't deny that in terms of flight simulators, 32 bit sims have had their day and developers are starting to move on.

Nick, GP Legends was a brilliant sim. I had it installed on Old Reliable, a Win98 machine I bought in 2004 which sadly gave up the ghost last year. In GPL, you could see the rest of the field actively in your mirrors - something that no version of MSFS ever provided. Years ago, a mate in another forum asked about it and I was able to point him to a very active website supporting the sim. Don't know if it is still there. Looks like it is:

I absolutely love GPL. Nothing quite like hustling the Eagle Westlake through Eau Rouge with a Lotus looking large in your mirrors...

Or in a GP Ferrari, losing traction because you forgot to lift off the throttle for the hump in Conrod Straight. :o

Haha yeah I was about to put something about the topic creep....

I tell you what Mike, Gurney was one of my heros. Stewart is right, he was just the most likable character.

I'll only say there is a lot of good stuff on the GRRC site, even for non-members. I treated myself to a subscription last year, and did not hesitate to renew it for my birthday this year. It has provided heaps of entertainment for the homebrew quality checks. Brilliant racing, and many of the cars are even older than me :o
ATB, and thankyou Marty

Well people do need to race their cars to airports or air force bases to catch planes hence they need some car racing games to practice their racing skills so that they can catch planes on time!!!
