Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Presenting a nice flight from LLHA Haifa Airport located to the east of Hafia to LLOV Ovda Airport located in the Uvda region of southern Israel about 37 miles north of Eilat.

You can see oil refineries located on Hahistadrut Avenue ahead of you

Nice view of waters of Mediterranean sea

Still making left turn toward south via Tel Aviv

Still climbing to FL200 with background view of entire city landscape of Hafia including Kishon Port and Israel Shipyards

Making right turn on north tip of Dead Sea

On final runway approach to runway 03R

Seconds before touchdown blowing some desert sand dust

TOUCHDOWN spewing desert sand dust

Front landing making ground contact

I actually checked on google about that oil refinery being so close to the airport ,, and it is.
Unbelievable is the only polite word that comes to mind.

I agree. It is too close to the airport BUT runway approaches above oil refineries is not allowed anyway. Approach to runway is from sea and take off is to sea.

Here is nice picture for anyone to see distance between the Hafia airport runway and the oil refineries
