That is so true, although we did have a silver one in New Plymouth when I was doing my pilot training way back in 1949.

Very nice. I have been looking a RN camouflage version with floats but no luck so far.
Which company produced your Tiger?

This model is by Anthony Lynch, the promodel for P3Dv4.5.
I don't think it comes with floats...

I recently picked this up. Very nice model as all Anthony’s are. Any plans for any NZ schemes Jankees?

I'm going to grab some of those liveries right now (thanks)!!! :D

JK is far too modest to post a link - but it's well worth bookmarking his repaints list on Avsim here.

Plans yes, but nothing concrete yet. There were a few in the package already.
ZK-BFI perhaps or ZK-BMY, ZK-AQA, ZK-AJU?
Any suggestions?

This is one of the two aircraft I learnt to fly in back in the early 1950s the other one was ZK-AYE

ZK -BMY would be great since that’s the one I had installed in Ants previous version. Looks great too

ZK-BFF would also be great since I know the owner :)

Great to see another NZ-based Tiger Moth repaint - many thanks, Jankees!!

Doug - does that badge not appear anywhere on the aircraft itself? I envy you, BTW ... LOL!

All I got was a few rides in a D.H. Chipmunk. The only free thing I managed to scrounge out of the RAF was a gliding course/certificate (sadly now lapsed).

Adam.

No it was only on their stationary and also an enamel badge which was available for all members who had gained their wings by completing their first solo flight.

This was also in the silver and blue colors
