Just Flight mentions that this plane is being restored and rebuilt in New Zealand. . .

There is another project to restore such a Corsair, a "Birdcage Corsair" F4U-1 in airworthy condition.

Great post ...I love those birdcage canopy models. The gear retraction sequence is fascinating.
I'm not aware of a restoration here in NZ .... and I think we still have one flying.

In "the inventory" of my Models I have at this time only the F4U-2N nightfighter wird Birdcage... wich was used against the Kamikaze over Okinawa 1945...
