Every now and then, agricultural aircraft have to be transferred to a new location. This becomes interesting because these working animals of the air have neither navigation aids nor reactive flight instruments, which they do not need in normal use.
So then, unscrew the spray device and go. . . First, simply head south until you can see the sea of houses of Auckland, flying left of the city and turn left to reach the coast at Pauanui (NZUN), fly over Tauranga, Whakatane and Opotoki and then turn a little to the right to get out at Gisborne. . .
That was the plan. . . how to fly in the old days. I don't know what to say. It worked.
