Eastar Jet, Boeing 737-800NG

Eastar is a small airline in South Korea using the Boeing 737-800. Some new and some like this one a little older. . . with the "eyebrow windows" and no winglets.
Gimpo and more of the 2. Taipei airport are not easy. In the middle of the city, RWY not too long. . . something different than the new airports, which are pushed out of the ground on the green meadow.

The flight itself was not very exciting. Over Gimpo a dense closed cloud cover and the ILS landing in Songshan not very exciting. But you end up in the middle of the city. By the way, it was a base of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force in WWII. On 18 August 1945, a Japanese Type 97 Heavy Bomber departing for Dalian failed to take-off and crashed into flames. Subhas Chandra Bose and Lt. Gen. Tsunamasa Shidei of Imperial Japanese Army are killed in this accident. Today it is also used by ROCAF.

I love all these interesting routes and back-stories that you come up with Andreas, and excellent screenshots too.

Out of interest, what are you running as scenery there bot at the airports and en-route, the land=class looks excellent. I did a wee flight around Wuhan in China (yes I realize that's not Korea yesterday in P3D with Orbx Global installed but there wasn't a lot of detail to be seen.
