P3Dv5 - an expensive fix
It took a major chunk out of my super, but I ended up having to upgrade my trusty OLD GTX970 for an 8GB RTX2060. Ouch!!! I blame the lockdown blues for that!
I can see now that, with the 970, there were basically so many things tthat weren't working with P3Dv5 - probably a combination of lack of VRAM and incomplete DX12 functionality. Anyway ... here goes!

All of these were taken with the beta atmospheric mode enabled. Some nice and subtle lighting effects, but also some oddities (fringeing and rather odd luminance adaptation).
No textures or clouds as yet - and no shader mods.

. I keep telling myself I should treat each addon as if it were a good restaurant meal or concert ... to be enjoyed at the time. That we get hours of fun frequently using that addon for months softens the blow a little! I suppose the same logic applies to hardware (and cars etc.). My old GTX970 really has seen better days, but I have to admit that it's had a good life!

....no pressure but at the moment ...no sale bra guy.
