Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport, Palembang (WIPP) - Minangkabau International Airport, Padang (WIEE) Wings Abadi Airlines, ATR 72-500

Another flight in Indonesia with this aircraft. . The weather was like in the most other flights in Indonesia not easy. Hope, that in FS2020 we can alter the IFR-Route in flight with the ATC because of bad weather on the planned route.... a problem with FSX and P3D at this time.

These flights in Indonesia in often bad to very bad weather have made it clear to me how good we actually have it in Europe in terms of weather. But it is a challenge to fly somewhere here in Indonesia or in other areas with typical, regularly recurring weather conditions that are outside the norm... Flying with regional aircrafts such as the ATR 42/72 or the DASH 8 forces you to fly through the weather and not over it as usual with jets. The problem in the current simulations is that the computer-aided ATC can't request alternative courses if the weather is too bad in advance to simply continue flying. I've been in a lot of situations lately where you wouldn't act like that in the original. To my regret, the episode No. 8 in the videos to the FS2020 made clear, that again has not been thought about this question.
