Back to Banks Peninsula, back to P3Dv5....
I've had a couple of very nice comments lately about Real NZ Christchurch, mainly relating to NZCH of course. When I released the v5 update I did check out the scenery to make sure that everything worked as expected, but I didn't really do a proper flight until tonight to check out a new elevation mesh for Banks Peninsula. The source is 1 metre resolution, but I've halved that to 2 metres to manage the file size. I may release this at some stage, but Prepar3d development is well and truly on hold until I figure out if there are any customers left.
These shots are resized down from 4K to 1440. Prepar3d v5 lighting takes some getting used to after using MSFS, but it is growing on me:) I can't wait to have the tools to drop a 1 or 2 metre into MSFS...
(Also I still don't have a single addon aircraft in Prepar3d v5!)
