did the RNZAF ever consider Fiats?

Re the RNZAF , I'm not sure ...I think F-4's and the Mirage were looked at prior to getting the A-4's.
Naki would be the man to clear that question up.

The Fiat G. 91 a meanwhile lost generation of aircraft. She was a bit Hawker "Hunter" and F-86. Build as Fighterbomber of NATO, but in Reality only used in Germany, Italy and Portugal. The other NATO-Nations had there own aircraft for this job. One example was testflown by the US...

Yep Dean's post covers it - the Mirage and F-111 were considered but it came down to the F-4, A-4 and F-5
