A flight along the coast of the Black Sea from the Taman Peninsula to the well-known spa town of Sochi. The aircraft used is a Yakovlev Yak 18. It is a cabin version of the training and aerobatic aircraft Yak-18 and also this touring aircraft is fully aerobatic. The aircraft was built in the 50s and was manufactured in China in addition to the USSR. Today there are still possibly 10... 12 airworthy specimens worldwide. The machine has no autopilot and of course no GPS...

There is one of these flying in NZ. If you google ZK-SSR you will find pictures. (Sorry don't have time to add any pictures myself)
I've never seen it but these are certainly big solid beasts.

Thank you for pointing that out. I will see if a repainter will deal with this aircraft and now increase my stock of sceneries for New Zealand. I have been a member of a large forums over the years but I am always happy to be here at nzff.org, because there are so many hints to be found here that point to such things. We don't really have anything like that in Europe anymore.

Its very similar to one of the liverys that come with it.

Hopefully they will release a Yak-52 as well...would be keen on one of those
