Handy Tool
While checking out IZ0JUB's North Island scenery for AFS2, I trundled anti-clockwise from a bit N of New Plymouth all the way to Gisborne and finished up with 74 1920x1080 bmp files, almost 493MB of them. What to do? I found a batch converter called XnConvert. It is a freeware for private or Not-for-Profit use. https://www.xnview.com/en/xnconvert/#downloads and very simple to install .
It reduced the 439MB of bmps to 7.83MB of 1290 wide jpgs and only took a whole six seconds to do it !!
Best viewed as a slideshow. You can use this link - it will be de-activated after 1800AEST today
EDIT: Link deleted, MJW
As Michael (IZ0JUB) himself said, 'it is not perfect', so no complaints please. I know Michael is working hard to fix the few things needing it. If you don't like the pics, just delete them, thanks.
