I'm surprised that some enterprising person hasn't worked out a "grass fix" yet - after all, there've plenty of trees fixes". Mind you - if it were that easy, Mr Corn would have done it LOL!

You might want to research which "method" you want to use - MS Store or Steam. I had mega problems getting MS Store to work (at all) - and ended up reinstalling Windos on my sim PC just to be able to take the next step. After install (MS Store version), I found it creates a ludicrously long folder name that gives you problems down the line with filepath/filename length restrictions, even after adding a registry hack to accept "unlimited" lengths. What's more, it encrypts the whole MSFS directory, making simple changes almost impossible. You end up placing any additonal content outside the main "Community" folder and symlinking to it. I suppose it's all about protection, but it's horrendously implemented, IMHO.

If I were to start again, I think I'd probably go for the Steam method - a little easier all round, I hear.

But yes - if screenshots are your "thing", then you're going to love MSFS. As a "simulation", though, I don't think it's as useful as P3D (or XP11). There are simply too many flight model, ATC, AI features incorrect or missing to treat MSFS as a learning tool.

However - considering that they've managed to pack in all this eye-candy and yet keep frame rates vaguely acceptable, all they have to do is gradually bolt on the functions that are lacking and we could have an incredible sim. Here's hoping. In the meantime, I can indulge myself by [continuously] pressing the screenshot key!

This is what I've been waiting to hear.
I got AFS2 on Steam and it was painless, if you discount the wait for addons to make their way there.
But I have done all the tweak tweak I ever want to do in a flightsim, so good to hear this about MSFS.

As to the visuals, Adam your shots of the Tante Ju are good testament.

Yea I have had afew probelsm with downloading from the MS store but none lately. What I have heard steam is the way to go.

Well ... taxiing on tarseal doesn't appear to produce any sparks (!!!) but braking is hard (no wheelbrakes) - either on snow or on tar. How do they slow down in RL?? I expect soft/fresh snow would have a bit of a braking effect, but landing on packed snow or ice ... ? I'll need to revisit those "Ice Pilots" videos, I think!
