Good series indeed!
Does look odd without the Sidewinders on the wingtips, browsing Wikipedia there's a shot of an even odder Italian F-104S with Sparrows hung underwing!
Further trivia while there: despite the appalling and well-publicised safety record of the Starfighter, the English Electric Lightning actually had a higher attrition rate.
17 per 100,000 hours vs 14.

Thanks for looking gents, I love the 104 and the Lightning equally .... but, maybe a little more "equal" for the Lightning ;)
