I'm having a week off, so I've been busy with War Thunder. Many thanks to "Gremlin Gus" for the repaints.

That Thunderchief could have been a cover photo for the 1960 USAF Calendar!

If only Oz had bought the TSR2, but it was all-the-way-with-LBJ in them days. :(

The Aussies would never have bought TSR2. Mountbatten went on a tour telling the Australians that they could have four or five Buccaneers for the price of one TSR2. The Bucc would've been cheaper than the F111 in the end.

Those are all great shots of great aircraft. The Tornado really suits that SEA style cam...
The Thud...interestingly, the first USAF TAC Thuds that were sent to Vietnam were unpainted..but that camo scheme suits it to a tee.
By the way, The F-105F or G were the some of the first Wild Weasel aircraft.
One had a weasel painted with YGBSM underneath.

YGBSM...You Gotta Be Shittin Me. Basically the response from some, if not all aircrew when they were informed that the F-105 was going to be the Wild Weasel type to go after NVA Sam site radars.

As an aside, the last F-4G Wild Weasel to leave after after Desert Storm had the original weasel art with YGBSM painted on the fuselage as a tribute to all Wild Weasel aircrew.
