Abandoned aircraft and airfields. This brings back memories of 1986, 11 years after the Vietnam War, including Da Nang Airport and Tan Son Nhut, which is now the major airport in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City. In Da Nang at that time was a huge abandoned military base, full of sghelt and plane wrecks. The Vietnamese had just started cleaning up and off by was a huge airplane graveyard with pretty much everything the US Air Force and Marines had deployed a good decade earlier.
What I remember most about Da Nang is the broken luggage belt and the doors swinging like in a western saloon. Today, where that American garbage used to be, is a modern airport.
