Funny I was reading earlier about a transplant the Germans did: captured Spit motor to a 109.
Apparently quite good.
Mind you look what the Merlin did for the P51

I believe that the Gustav was part of the Enemy Aircraft Flight, commonly referred to as "The RAFwaffe".
