I like it's nickname..The Tin Triangle. Beautiful aircraft though.

Adam, I've watched and studied the YouTube clip and grabbed some screens, which I'll post later.
Having had time to think about it, this rendering looks a little bit plastic....in fact..to me at least MSFS seems to have a "film" over it...a kind of dullness for want of a better word, hard to explain.
Whatever your post-shot processing is, seems to remove it.
I wouldn't buy it based on that clip. The cockpit is well done, but, in my opinion, no better than the P3D offering.

Just my random meanderings.

One of the YT clips mentions the fact that the finish is slightly matte - on purpose, and reflects the actual look of the aircraft.

A very typical English period cockpit.
Cockpit ergonomics, of the time, consisted of throwing all the dials, switches and lights into the air and placing them where they landed. Even starting the beast has the air valves on one side of the cockpit and the starter switches on the other side! It certainly seems a nice aircraft handling wise. A well put together video too.
In my experience I have found that many of the JF models external rendering appears plasticky. I believe JF are just the publishes so I wonder if this is confined to just one particular dev's technique.

I'll see if the restored XH558 livery has been "polished up" - as I expect it was, when on the airshow circuit.

Yes although aerodynamics, airframes and engines had progressed hugely in the post war years, the cockpit looks like just a small step up from WWII aircraft like the Lancaster.

I've sat in a Lightning cockpit (which is of similar vintage) and was amazed at how steam-age this "state of the art" equipment actually was.

Regarding the Vulcan, there seems to be no real logic/consistency in keeping switch positions to UP/Active or DOWN/Inactive (or vice-versa).
