Checking dates like this always make me more aware of my age.... I was born just 12 years after WW2 ended.
Age awareness doesn't seem to kick for a few years...or decades.

Posted: Sun Mar 24, 2024 2:47 amNot to underestimate. There were actually captured B-17s and even more popular B-24s used in the KG 200. The KG 200 was no ordinary squadron, but a rather obscure special operations club. The B-24s were used in 1944 to provide nighttime resupply to bases of German troops on Greek islands cut off after the collapse of Romania.
