Osan Air Base (RKSO) - Gimhae International Airport (RKPK), Northrop F-5E. ROKAF

Osan is a regular base of the South Korean Air Force
and the USAF headquarters in Korea. Gimhae is primarily an international airport, but is also believed to be used for military flights. Today it went so far that the tower "parked" my F-5E in the middle of the passenger planes, a known weakness of the MSFS. The flight was uneventful and good for practice. I haven't flown the F-5 for years since the P3D and was a bit rusty. Landing was a challenge though because the wind changed during the approach and I had to fly the 18L instead of the 36L. I like the 36 because of the view of the city of Busan, the coast and the islands and bridges. On the other hand, you have to be careful of the mountains in front of the 18L and 18R and therefore the minimum flight altitude.

 My goodness , that's a change from Mount Cook in a R-66.

Superb screens , great scenery. Is that a default MSFS aircraft?

It is this one: https://www.justflight.com/product/sc-d ... er-ii-msfs

She's like all the birds from this company. Not particularly deep systems. F-14, F-15, F-16. They are easier to fly than the machines from Indiafoxecho or Sim Skunk Works. I like it, the depth is quite enough for me. I don't have any particular ambition. Their F-4E Phantom II is still on my list. The price is moderate, and I would describe the flight model as such as quite sophisticated. One warning- If You buy this aircraft in the Microsoft-Store, it has no weapons. My view on this is. It is a military aircraft and as such all weapons are included. It's hypocritical to pretend they're racers. Then they can paint the machines pink and that means that the current generation no longer knows why these machines were designed and puts a burden on the taxpayer.
