Fairbanks International Airport (PAFA) - Valdez (PAVD)

It was a flight without proper thought and sensible planning, just like you were “taught” at "mentourpilots". With the information about the weather in Valdez I would have stayed where I was with my beautiful old Douglas DC 6A. It was also a flight on an aircraft that I never really felt comfortable on, the Douglas DC-6A. As far as I know, this model was PMDG's first attempt at MSFS. Yes, this thing has something. but you can see why the large crews in the cockpit were previously necessary. You never have the impression of being “underemployed”. Certainly others in this forum could say more about the story of this flight because they know the conditions on site. The story was told that road construction is difficult due to the climate and the decision was made at the political level to subsidize air transport and airlines. That may also be one of the reasons why you can find aircraft in use there that would otherwise no longer be profitable in the USA. This time, too, it was clear that it can take revenge if you are not familiar enough with your aircraft. I waited for the turbochargers to switch on "automatically" until it occurred to me to see if I wouldn't have to do this myself. The thing rose very slowly until I figured it out.
Conditions for the landings proved to be delicate. 1/2 mile visibility, temperature +2 degrees Celsius, cloud base at 1,500 ft.

Very cool screenshots

What puzzles me is that so many people made so many MS2020 screenshots yet I have NOT seen a single screenshot showing snowstorm or snowing.

I agree. It's exciting to fly with a piston engine aircraft in such weather. Dealing with the onset of icing is also something that the MSFS in this version does better than its predecessors. Here in the Baltics you can expect such weather from the end of September to March.
