Once again, the desert cam looks good on the Spitfire. I'm not sure which mark it was , but one version of the Spitfire which had clipped wings was referred to as, slightly derogartory, as 'clipped, clapped and cropped'.
The clipped obviously being the wing, clapped, because that mark as fast and cropped because the engine was referred to as a cropped Merlin..no idea why.
