FlyByWire A380X Air New Zealand Pacific Wave Livery

The "Pacific Wave" liveries (c1990) have always been my favourite. The colours echo the sea, sky and land of New Zealand - so much more poetic than the current black and white schemes.

The livery is fictional, with the aircraft bearing the name "Kākāpō" ...

The Flybywire team really raised the bar with this A380 ... it's magnificent!!

The livery is at Flightsim.to:

Oh this is great!
That livery works so well, the waves making the Gallic nose look as if they meant it.
Brilliant.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

There's just so much detail to enjoy with the FBW A380. Still a bit frame rate hungry when in 8k mode, but it's only an early release after all. I'm working on a 4k version of the livery right now.

Despite all the hard work put into it, I find the A380 a little too "fat" ... it's a MONSTER!! Maybe it's because I've spent so much time in the A320 and B737 ... or maybe I should stay out of the external camera views and play with the MCDUs ;)

Hah, yeah she's a beast right. I had a bit of a wide-body phase last summer but am back in me old faithful turbo-props and narrow-bodies again now
