My avatar looks disturbingly like me in RL - has MSFS 20204 had access to my webcam? :ph43r: :ph43r: :ph43r: Go on .. @BobL ... chastise me

The incredible freeware Fury - that works perfectly in 2024:

Using the "blur" feature in Photo Mode:

The Islander works well - apart from a weird clicking sound loop. Does anyone know how to prevent the default rego from showing? All the all 2020 voodoo doesn't work.

Not entirely sure how come I managed to choose the chopper (maybe when trying out an activity/scenario) as I could never get even close to controlling any of the choppers in 2020.

Surprisingly, I could actually fly the thing. I spent 1/2 flying over Green Park, trying to photograph Buckingham Palace for the mission, but failed. I think I actually landed in Regents Park

It's possible that the modelling for the missions is a bit dumbed down - I haven't dared try a chopper in any regular flight ... yet! Just started my career ... so that'll keep me off the streets for a while!

Ah and here we'd just gotten used to the picture top left accompanying your forum posts

My flightsim PC died yesterday.
I am taking this as a Sign, and will follow the FS2024 experiences with interest, from afar.

Am I right in believing that every sim session is streamed afresh, including aircraft?
No local storage??
I see especially the chaps in the UK are very unhappy.

Is your PC fixable?

There's the usual rolling cache, but I never know what actually goes in it (apart from the obvious terrain tiles).

You'd have thought that, here in NZ, we'd be crippled by our mediochre connection to the outside world, but I've had no connection problems with 2024 at all - even with all the Asobo servers in a bit of a state. Maybe Peter Jackson persuaded Gandalf to wave his magic wand!

It went in today to Playtech who supplied it, hopefully the 3 year warranty can produce a fix, probably PSU.
And: It will get a 4080 Super graphics card (Anyone interested in a nice 2 yo RTX 3080?) plus 64GB of RAM while there, i mean this was Written was it not?
Best of all, it may be returned within 24 hours...
