Yes ... another beauty from CptRossco!

Next time you're in the cockpit ... do you happen to know how the fuel flow thingies are used? They're on the pedestal, below and to the right of the condition levers. I tried to map an axis to the condition levers, but it moved the fuel things instead!

Do you mean the 2 fuel trimmers? Unfortunately they don’t work individually.
For starting set them to 100% for OAT of 15c or below and to 50% for temps above 15c. At light off observe the TGT and if accelerating quickly toward the red line then start trimming back to slow it down. Some times it was necessary to “milk” the HP cocks to control the temperature during the start. After eng start set the trimmers to the setting obtained from the fuel calculator on the LH overhead panel. You set OAT next to pressure alt and get a % to set on the trimmers. This is also set up for landing as well. The command was “Trim up” and was the pilot not flying’s responsibility to set.

Those are some great pics of the Fokker. Loving the older colour schemes, especially the NAC livery. Remember that one when I was growing up (and the sounds of the engines winding up before takeoff!!) I found the old XP10 version that has gone through a couple of updates. Works great in XP12 but looks dated on the inside.

Actually, it would be nice to have a Calibration flight livery as well.

I have requested one CP , and maybe a couple of the NZ Post ones.
RNZAF maybe as well, but the under wing tanks maybe a problem...I cant remember if they operated at anytime without those.

A little more Fokker history around the RNZAF airframes.
BXB was the first to be converted , and became NZ2781, followed by BXC (2782) and then BXD became NZ2783. All the conversion work was done by Air New Zealand.
Here's a rare photo of 2781 wearing old and new reg, and without the external fuel tanks. I have a photo of 2781 airborne with out the tanks ...so it qualifies for a repaint...hint hint :)
It hasn't had the NATTS badge put on the tail at that point.

The red , white and Blue fin flash was also enlarged later on.

And then there's this old girl .... I'm sure this was at Wigram at some stage , or part of it.

A couple more....ZK-DCG, arrived in NZ in 1972 from ANA in Japan. She had a busy time while in NZ , moving between the calibration flight and NAC, and finally ending up in the Pakistan Navy.

And this one taken at Wigram of NZ2782 (BXC) leaving as RP-C5888 with Laoag International Airlines.

Its a shame that these 3 haven't received the attention they deserve from the historians.
So maybe we can do it here.
