Produced in Czechoslovakia after World War II by Aero Vodochody.
There is something about the Czech planes... this is a gentle 4-seat tourer.
Climb out at around 1,000fpm, cruise at a relaxed 250km/h and go 1,700km.

I had a go from Hanmer Springs (what a refuelling rig)

Cruised West to the coast, turned left and found Hokitika. New plane en route also, why not?

Steer it in, floats serenely

Another quick change of livery, I don't think any made it here to NZ?

That's one very nice and, dare I say it, elegant aircraft.

Thanks chaps, yes I think "elegant" is apt.
Sort of what de Havilland would have done if Eastern European, perhaps?
