Tripping through NZ

Time for another trip through NZ through my payware and some freeware airports. Done a few through the years including the Dreamfleet Baron in FSX and the A2A Comanche in MS2020. Now that the A2A Aerostar is out of Beta its time to take it on a jaunt.

Kaitaia (NZKT) to Whangarei (NZWR)

Nice.
Swanky aircraft, too, although I suspect bach to AirBNB I might've beaten you by road. B-)
Look forward to your onward legs.

Good point. I seriously regret that I have recently cluttered up the forum with flights to various destinations around the world, without considering that this is a New Zealand forum.

There aren't rules really, although if a topic is more relevant to NZ, here's the place for it.

I found some German freeware recently, and will post pics here just to showcase the sim.

Hey, it's been years since the forum was cluttered.
I am a recent new member of an astronomy forum, and every day there are at least 500 threads in the 'new content', by the time I browse through that I need to go back to the first page and see what's been posted since I started looking... now that's a cluttered forum.

Yes i enjoy your posts there Hasegawa...so keep postimg...

Two short legs... NZWR to NZKF (nice little freewaree)...thought the strip might be a bit short but got in okay....but was a bit rough for the Aerostar. More suitable for smaller aircraft...after a short break there off to NZNE (freeware - not sure about some of the hangars but looks okay)

NZNE is not bad - you can relate to the buildings well enough.
And the PG is pretty good in the area, just a BRIGHT green patch off to the west unfortunately (in FS20).

There's a Barry Seal "flour" option coming so my thread title might mean more ....

A very short hop.... off to the very nice NZAA...somewhat wasted with me as I don't fly airliners but I do drop in occasionally.

Another short hop to the excellent freeware NZAR

My nose is getting quite bug splattered

Not sure why there is a Qantas 747 there!

Heh. For the kind of flying I do, I enable as many static aircraft as the scenery will fit.
Sad that FS24 hasn't upped the game there.
On which topic: My freeware Ardmore seems to have very uniformly light grey building textures from the air.
Is it the same in FS24? hard to tell from your shot.

Didn't really notice it here Charl (see 2nd shot below) although some of the textures are a bit blurry compared to payware

The tour should of ended here as I stuffed up the landing with the all mighty cross wind
