Continuing with the Antarctic explorations, and now intruding on Marty’s territory:
I happened to read about an Australian resupply flight to Casey Station, which involved some air to air refuelling. Interesting hmmm I already had the C-17 and happily, found an RAAF MRTT tanker.
I loaded up a pair of sturdy firefighters for the 3,500 km trip

And here’s what makes that journey possible, the C-17’s 4.500km range would get it there but you have to get back y’see.

And here’s the money shot: possibly the most difficult manoeuvre in the air

Cargo deployed on Station, I surmise foam guns as water is a scarce commodity

The helos could have been delivered the same way, two can fit in the Big Guy

Marty, thank you.
I do like to push the boundaries of the sim a little.
You clearly understand where those boundaries are.
