Great set of views, what a monster.
Walking around it, seems bigger than a 747 but it's just the slenderness of the elements and proximity to the ground I guess.
What an aircraft, what a history.
How's the model? I read that there are some issues.

What a superb set of shots.. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that machine is beautiful and, it would seem, ageless.
With all the modifications done over the years of service, and the new J model coming up, the Buff seems to be outlasting its replacements.

Thanks Gents.
Its a beast for sure. Charl, the only thing wrong from my point of view is the lack of smoke at high power settings.
I cant really comment on handling , but it "feels" heavy.
Ill try and screen the gear retraction sequence for you...quite interesting. I got messed up with views and timing...in pause mode, the gear and or flaps don't pause.

Simon, I wonder what the combined age of the remaining 52 fleet is. You get over 100 years with just 2 135's .
How far away are the upgraded frames ?

How's this...
There's 76 active B-52Hs..(58 active plus 18 in reserve)
The combined age of all 76 airframes 4,630 years.
All operational B-52Hs were built between 1961 and 1962.
The "average" age is currently 61.8 years as of late 2024 to mid 2025.
The B-52J should reach IOC by early 2033.
