Martin´s Bay-Wanaka, Dornier Do 27

The Do 27 proved to be a "lucky find." Easy to operate, STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing), and if you trim the drooping left wing, a plane with character, without any unnecessary frills like an autopilot. Ha! Perfect for an after-work or early morning flight. The original was a true workhorse, developed shortly after the end of World War II.

Thanks, that’s funny—the little mishap in the first picture. The engine’s running… but the pilot isn’t there. I didn’t notice it until after it was uploaded… but that’s just part of our hobby…
