The GPStore has Battlestar Galactica seasons one and two on special at the moment. I've just finished a marathon viewing of season two spread over 4 days (that's 20 episodes) so I was pleased to see a Viper show up for FSX on Avsim today.
Ok, so its not the flashest model, but it is fun to go these speeds -- into orbit in a few minutes, then down again. I spotted a photoreal area I have been playing with, so decided to try some low-level high-speed flying. The tail-view in FSX is idea for this, I don't think I could do it in FS2004 without crashing.
Finally I figured out how to lower the speed to something managable -- then full throttle straight up again... loads of fun.

Yes, apparently at the end of series two, they do find Earth, but through a series of comedic accidents -- including the launching of a cream pie the size and shape of the Pentagon -- they manage to lose it again.

looks like fun Robin :P

I could be really picky, and point out that although we can go buzzing around at rather high altitudes, its always a clear cloudless day down below.. don't know if id rather have all those clouds trying to be drawn thow. mm clear skies will do for now I think

Must download that, always fun to have a buzz around or something, reminds me of the fun that can be had with "fsedit"'s thrust adjusting tool mmmm
