There I was on Gatwick Director, empty scope, when I saw a message over the IVAO network Broadcast saying that the weather conditions at Kuwait where suitable to gain the IVAO "Heavy Weather" award and there was a Supervisor there so pilots can get the award.
The Heavy Weather award is given to a pilot if he (or she
) lands in difficult weather conditions with out the use of an autoland system, such as strong cross winds or very low visibility.
So there was a ATC on the Kuwait CTA and a supervisor there to take pilots IDs and approve the award
So I loaded up at OEPA and filled a plan to OKBK, in my trustry 767-300 of course!

Pushing back.

Other traffic here too.

Accelerating down the rwy.

Climb out, looks like im banking, look at the EADI! Ratated this shot a bit to much I think.
Neat thow.

Out of the fog, got clearance from Kuwait Center and heading enroute.

Sqwark codes start with a 0 here!

Hmm desert!

ah getting vectors for the approach, controler had my way to high.

cleared for the ILS intercept. expecting visibilty to drop dramticly to the 300meters.

err, a slightly stressful moment.

Made it, not to far away from the center line.

hmm this is the part were I get lost.

Found a terminal.

A shot from IVAE (our "server info" sort of thing, but way better and easier to use
) .
That was really fun! wasn't that hard thow, nothing I haven't done before... but really fun
So now I have the Heavy Weather Award!
Thanks for looking
James
