Hi guys,

I'm still chugging along on the NZ VFR Tour, this leg was from Hokitika to Wigram, including some 'fun' through Arthur's Pass. ;)

Climbing out of Hokitika on the West Coast, heading East

I need to find a way over this first ridge, and then we're sweet

A bit of a detour, but definately worth it

Here we go...

Over the top, coming down slowly on the other side

Leaving the Alps behind, flying now over the Canterbury Plains

Hey look! Its James' house! :P

On finals to runway 21 at Wiggy

Straight after this shot I bumped my throttle and pushed the button that opened up the kneeboard, so after a couple of seconds of swearing and FS stuttering around, I decided to go around <_<

Climbing out for a left hand turn back onto runway 21

One last shot showing Christchurch...

Hope you liked. :)

Naki, yep, the ESDG SR22 in FS9, I'm not sure what was with those, is there some sort of theme park there irl?

I wish! Thats the A and P showgrounds, each year on "show weekend" thats where they have all the lovely farm animals and a rollar coaster and stuff like that, I can remember going to it once, would have been about 8 or something years ago..

But I don't think they have the burning hop for planes to fly threw irl

Very very nice Alex.

That one over the Plains looking back at the Alps would be my favourite.

I think I've got Clive Ryan's NZHK scenery, nice, but not ideal, as on my sim the apron and runways are all on different levels.

Yeah , Clive's scenery was a good start , think this little field has a future for a scenery redo but other airports ahead of that one , be a goodie if well ? , get some photos and it updated :) by Clive .. maybe

reminds me of a trip done IRL

IFR NZWG to NZHK then VFR low level ( 250agl) from HK through the hills and out to the east coast about 15nm north of CH and then along the beach to be 'time on target' at the clock tower +/- 30 seconds for the whole flight, then VFR back to WG.

had a solid layer in the hills about 300' above the saddle in the mountains and about a 20kt westerly from memory.

download a CT4B and give it a go. I was about 11 seconds off in real life.

closest on my course was about 3 seconds - he's now a A340 skipper with cathay.
