This was an interesting entertainment on a rainy Sunday...
Lawrie Roache has produced another key scenery in NZWU and so of course one ambles off to have a looksee.
I took off like this in my trusty Harvard:

and thought: wonder how good this bit of NZ scenery is?
So I took a screenshot, and then loaded my second-favourite flight simulator, Google Earth, and did the same (bottom shot)

Can't quite decide which gave me more of a kick - how good Christian's landclass must be, or how cool Google is.
Either way, might be nice if one of the pilots in the mid-North Island had a a similar real-world shot to compare?

at least Google has the river color correct, i don't think i have every seen the river any other color than brown!!!!
