This month, Carenado are sponsoring our screenshot competition. This means that the person who wins with the best screenshot this month will receive the Carenado Beechcraft Mentor payware addon which can be viewed at Carenado.com, valued at $27 (NZ) ... Now that's an incentive for you all to enter!

Here is our 18th monthly Screenshot Competition, which is free to enter for all the members of NZFF*

This month's rules are as follows:

1) The screenshot must be from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX, X-Plane, etc), and the position of the shot must be somewhere over New Zealand territory.

2) The image size must be as close as possible to 984 pixels wide- read the uploading screenshot guide to find out how to re-size your shot. Please keep a high res version saved on your computer as the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert it into a site banner!

2.5) Also remember, try and make your shout suitable for a thin rectangular banner. Think about that what positioning your aircraft and camera angles etc.

3) Images can be submitted from October 5th to October 31st 2007, with only one entry per member. You can change your submission if you want, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one (by pressing the edit button, to the top right of your post. Please don't make new posts saying you have edited your original post as this makes the thread cluttered).

4) On October 31st, a poll will open and run for a few days to decide who has the best image, then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the Carenado prize!

5) Editing is allowed, if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

6) This month's theme is 'something out of the ordinary', so let your shot display something you perhaps wouldn't expect to see under usual circumstances. Be creative!

* As we are offering payware prizes, each member who enters must have at least a 2 month membership (signed up before the end of July) at NZFF before they can enter.

All the best to everyone, lets see lots of entries guys! May the best man win! ninja.gif

A strange Russian visitor.
Controller at Ohakea spotted it. Moving very fast and low.
Got instructed to intercept it from behind.
It ignored all attempts to contact.
After reaching Ruapehu it turned east and continued heading that way.
We were instructed to do no more and the government would question the appropriate foreign authorities.

My helmet camera caught this picture:

Yes I know this is posted in the Cold War thread but it seems appropiate for this comp - might change it later if I can think of something better.

Nice shot Ian as per usual - what models are you using?

Yeah you are right Robin - very unlikely we will re-paint them back in the old colours !!!
BUT - very soon all the Skyhawks will be parked outside, although a little further down the tarmac.

Yeah, I was thinking of something like this:

Love your pricing.
Please, can you be in charge of the Skyhawk disposal?
My cousin Borat would like to book the first 6 months of the fleet, here's his credit card number...

The pricing needed to reflect the fact that us older taxpayers have already paid for 'em. Non-taxpayers would need to pay a refundable deposit.
By the way, the $99 'works' involves sinking an illegal fishing vessel, subject to availability. (I got that idea from the Australians.)

Here's something a tad out of the ordinary, though not if my mate Adam had his way:

Dave Garwood's Lancaster B.III in PA474's "Phantom Of The Ruhr" repaint over Woodbourne.

What's unusual about this one?
Why, it's the Douglas Dauntless at the end of the row, of course!

EDIT:
After protest was lodged, submission removed, placeholder only.
